Your greycel ass decided to blast MK677 and you got shitty biomarkers?
This guide will give you easy solutions for damage control and reversing any problems.
Insulin resistance and pancreas
Berberine and metformin
MK677-Abuse can lead to serious insulin resistance. You can supplement with berbine that works similarly to metformin by activating AMPK. This pathway increases glucose uptake and lowers hepatic glucose production. Apart from that it improves fasting glucose, reduces postprandial spikes and lowers insulin levels.
Dosage: Take 500 mg 2–3x per day with meals. It’s cheap, but can cause mild GI discomfort. Run it for 8–12 weeks or even longer.
Telmisartan
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that's unique because it also activates PPAR-gamma, a nuclear receptor involved in lipid and glucose metabolism. That means it lowers blood pressure and improves insulin sensitivity. It is a really great ancillary because it helps with vascular health, fasting glucose and even fat redistribution.
Dosage: Typical dose is 20–40 mg/day. Monitor blood pressure and potassium. Very effective in cases where insulin resistance is accompanied by visceral fat and elevated BP.
Retatrutide
Retatrutide is a triple agonist of GLP-1, GIP and the glucagon receptor. It improves insulin sensitivity, reduces appetite, melts visceral fat and protects beta cells. In trials, it outperformed semaglutide for both weight loss and glucose control.
Dosage: You can take anything between 2.5-7.5mg weekly. You don't really need to monitor anything.
Fish oil
This is a great OTC solution to fix any metabolic issues. Fish oil reduces chronic inflammation, which is one of the root causes of insulin resistance. It improves insulin signaling by reducing TNF-alpha and IL-6. It also helps lower triglycerides, improve endothelial function and protect against fatty liver disease.
Dosage: Aim for 2–3 g of combined EPA/DHA per day. The thing with this compound is that quality = everything. Buying from a good seller is important, as oxidized fish oil can do the opposite of what it is supposed to do.
Overeating
Simple solution: A GLP1-agonist is all you need to fix your sky high appetite. The most common ones are semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide.
Especially retatrutide would be extremely helpful in a harm reduction context and to improve biomarkers like lipids or insulin sensitivity.
