MT2

Melanotan II (MT2) is a injectable synthetic peptide analog of α-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). It is great for inducing skin tanning effects, and also has some other uses that go beyond giving you mogger colouring.

Mechanism of action

MT2 acts as a non-selective agonist of the melanocortin receptors MC1, MC3, MC4, and MC5.

It produces melanogenesis by activation of the MC1 receptor.

Melanotan II was initially developed to reduce the risk of skin cancer.

When you use Melanotan II, it triggers a dramatic increase in melanin production. Since melanin is what gives skin its color, higher levels mean a deeper, darker tan.

Even someone with extremely pale, freckled skin, who usually burns instantly, can achieve a deep, dark tan with Melanotan II.

Clinical studies have extensively examined Melanotan II, confirming its ability to safely enhance melanogenesis (the natural process of melanin production in skin cells).

Naturally, fair-skinned individuals produce much less melanin to begin with.

But because Melanotan II significantly boosts melanogenesis in all users, it leads to higher melanin levels, which help shield the deeper layers of skin from harmful UV radiation.
